On March 2, 2009, a major study was published in the "Lipids Health & Disease" medical journal.
Around 102 people participated in their study, a group took African mango extract and other group took a placebo for 10 weeks. The group which took the extract averaged a loss of 28 pounds, 18.4% of their body and also 6.7 inches to their waistlines, pretty impressive. On the other hand, the second group had barely changed; they lost an average of 2 pounds and experienced insignificant changes to their waistlines and body fat.
